Metallic Finish for Historic Centrepiece
The British Museum is home to some of the world’s historic masterpieces and the famous round Reading Room stands at the centre of the museum. As part of a £100 million development the covered courtyard was re-developed with a glass and steel roof.
A system of Intercure® 200, Intercure 420 and Interthane® 990 was supplied to this project to protect the 500 tonnes of steel from corrosion. The polyurethane properties found in Interthane provided a high performance finish and the silver effect obtained the metallic finish required.
