As a water borne intumescent coating, it has been formulated to the highest of standards for cellulosic fire protection. The technology allows Interchar 1120 to have zero volatile organic compounds (VOC), according to EU Solvent Emissions Directive (SED) 1999/13/EC. Its ability to be combined with water based primers and topcoats, delivers a complete water based solution for you.

Currently tested and approved following British Standard BS476, part 20-21, the competitive 120 minute loading allows Interchar 1120 to be more cost effective per m² lowering the applied cost of the intumescent coating.  It also has a number of other benefits:
