Chartek 7Chartek 7 is the most widely certified epoxy intumescent in the world and has protected over 6 million square meters of steel globally over 25 years. It is ideally suited to assets requiring long duration fire resistance, providing up to 3 hours jet fire protection. Suitable for use on steel up to 80°C (176°F), it is extremely tolerant to environmental and application process conditions and has a low practical applied density. Chartek 7 has an exceptional 20 year proven track record across 6 continents and over 1000 installations covering more than 6 million square metres. Chartek 7 is the most certified epoxy intumescent passive fire protection. Suitable for use on steel up to 80°C (176°F), it is extremely tolerant to environmental and application process conditions and has a low practical applied density.
Chartek 1709Chartek 1709 is a high performance epoxy intumescent fire protection coating, part of our ANSI/UL1709 listed offer. Having covered millions of square meters over a period of 10 years, Chartek 1709 can be used with confidence for a wide range of applications and fire scenarios, including up to 4 hours pool fire resistance, in addition to jet fire, vessel and cryogenic spill protection. Chartek 1709 offers greatly reduced thickness with no mesh requirement for 60 minutes pool fire duration. Its low installed weight and excellent application properties make it the ideal choice for modular construction or site application. Chartek 1709 is qualified by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) ANSI/UL 1709 and provides durable low weight protection against pool fires which also deliver real lifecycle cost savings by reducing on-going maintenance.
Chartek 8Chartek 8E provides exceptional pool fire performance, with up to 30% lower installed weight compared to alternative products, allowing for greater flexibility in structural design. It improves coating efficiency through a reduced number of coats, achieving up to 60 minutes pool fire resistance without the need for mesh. Boron-free, Chartek 8E can be applied to areas with a continuous operating temperature up to 120ºC (248ºF), making it the ideal choice for structural steelwork and process equipment. Chartek 8E is ideal for steel substrates where continuous operating temperatures up to 120°C (248°F) are used. Providing low installed weight passive fire protection solutions, Chartek 8E is also free of any reprotoxic substances, such as boric acid or borates.
