ISO 12944 is a recognised industry standard that can be used to specify protective coatings up to operating temperatures of 120°C/248°F for structural steel at new construction.
By selecting specifications based on ISO 12944 provides you with:
· Confidence that you are embracing the latest standards in corrosion control.
· An objective approach to coating selection.
· Reassurance that the protection you specify will be fit for purpose .
· A meaningful coating design life to an ISO standard.
· A globally accepted solution.
The following systems all offer a High degree of Protection in various different environmental conditions (as classifed by the ISO12944 Standard)
System A
A high durability coating specification designed for environments classified by ISO 12944-2 as C1 very low corrosivity.
System B
A high durability (above 15 years) coating specification designed for environments classified by ISO 12944-2 as C4 High corrosivity.
System C
A high durability (above 15 years) coating specification designed for environments classified by ISO 12944-2 as C5-I very high corrosivity (Industrial).
These are guideline specifications, in all instances we recommend that you contact International Protective Coatings for a more detailed response.
