Two major projects are awarded to International Protective Coatings as Delhi prepares to host the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
Delhi International Airport and the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium are currently being upgraded to accommodate the spectators expected to visit India for the games.
Upgrading to handle 60 million passengers the airport will be using our Interchar® fire protection products to coat structural steelwork, including the passenger terminal, piers, aerobridges and hangers. By utilising Interchar the airport is ensuring the highest standards of protection are met and allows designers to combine effective fire protection with creative design.
Due to a very successful track record in Olympic projects, including the Sydney Olympics and the 2008 Beijing Olympics we have been chosen to supply a high performance three coat system comprising of Interzinc® 52, Interthane® 870 and Interfine® 979 to the sports complex. When complete the arena will host the Athletics and Lawn Bowl tournaments.
