International Paint’s Marine and Protective Coatings functions have taken the lead on compliance by becoming the first producer in the heavy duty coatings sector to completely phase out of the use of lead chromates.
Our Intersafe Health and Safety training programme covers all of the major HSE issues across the broad spectrum of hazards experienced by our customers.
As well as the day to day risks associated with working on building sites, personnel in these can also face the added risks of working at great heights or in confined spaces, as well as the risks from exposure to hazardous materials or from dangerous equipment.

International Protective Coatings is endeavouring to reduce (and where possible eliminate) the use of hazardous materials in coatings. With this in mind we have an active programme in place to review the raw materials used in our coatings and, where appropriate, reformulate to less hazardous and more environmentally acceptable constituents.
In order to keep up with the modern demands for coatings, we are currently revising our Ecotech offer to ensure that it meets and exceeds current green building regulations for VOC levels. We’ll be relaunching this soon, so keep watching.
